When adding a personal touch to a post, you want to make sure you post once you've established a good following and trust within your followers, and vice versa. For niche topics, adding a personal touch opens a door to opportunity and trust within your followers. They get a little glimpse of who are you as a person behind a screen. For me, I appreciate honesty and hope to be honest to my following. I am also someone who relies on humor and am always laughing or cracking jokes, so adding some funny phrases into my business shows more of my personality to my following.
Adding personal touches reminds people that there is a human being posting and creating this content, and they have opinions and feelings as well.
If you are a bigger company and a bigger following, it might not be the best to use those techniques in every post, but every so often, maybe a holiday or something, they can post a funny caption, to remind us that it is someone behind the screen posting these photos, and not just AI.
